As North River Manatee County continues to grow, residents, community leaders, and local organizations are coming together to ask a timely question: How can Ellenton, Palmetto, Parrish, and Rubonia shape that growth together? Bishop-Parker Foundation, The Patterson Foundation, and The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation will host a community gathering on Sunday, May 17, to unveil a new report, “Growing Together in North River Manatee County: Shaping a Shared Future.” The report follows months of conversations with North River residents and explores how people experience life in the region, what matters to them, and where there are opportunities to strengthen civic culture. This public event will feature Rich Harwood, president and founder of The Harwood Institute, who will share findings from the report and discuss next steps for community-led change.
